Voices of TBAuctions: From uncertainty to unexpected purpose

Welcome to Voices of TBAuctions, an interview series spotlighting the people behind Europe’s leading multi-brand B2B digital auction platform. Through candid conversations with our leaders and team members, we explore who they are, their experiences, insights, and the passion that drives our success.

We are excited to highlight Lisa Barth Engström, Auction Reviewer at Klaravik, a brand part of TBAuctions. You can watch the video above or, if you prefer, read the full interview below!

What do you enjoy most about working with customers and auctions at Klaravik?

First and foremost, I strive to create a positive experience for our customers. I also enjoy helping my colleagues have a smoother day.

Which skills you’ve acquired at Klaravik do you feel most proud of?

Besides knowing more about machines, I would say that I’ve learned how to make quick decisions. That doesn’t come naturally to me otherwise. I also try to practice being a good listener every day.

Why is Klaravik a great place to work?

Yeah, it’s the people, simply. We’re really like a second family. We take care of each other and have fun together. There are lots of laughs.

What aspect of working with auctions do you find particularly meaningful?

I take pride in giving used machines a second chance, which helps the environment.

Could you tell us more about your team and how it functions?

I work on the quality team at Klaravik in Sweden. Our primary goal is, of course, ensuring the quality is at an acceptable level. We are always finding ways to improve and create the best auction descriptions.

What did you want to be when you were a child?

I didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted to do. I definitely never thought I would end up selling machines. But it’s interesting to see how things can turn out really well.

When you’re not working, what activities do you enjoy?

I love spending time with my kids and family. Watching them play sports brings me a lot of joy and uplifts me.
