“Tractor in a Can”: 20-Year-Old New Holland Auctioned Almost Unused on Klaravik

It’s not every day a two-decade-old tractor appears on the auction block with barely any wear—but that’s exactly what happened on Klaravik. A New Holland TD80D, manufactured in 2004, was recently sold in Sweden for 271,000 SEK, despite being used for only 130 hours over its lifetime.

Dubbed by some as a “tractor in a can”, the machine was in near-preserved condition—an unusual find in a category known for heavy, daily use. The listing drew considerable interest from buyers intrigued by the combination of age, quality, and near-zero usage.

This sale is another example of how Klaravik connects buyers with rare and high-value machinery—and how second-hand doesn’t mean second-rate.
