Troostwijk Auctions Noah’s Ark Replica

Troostwijk Auctions, a TBAuctions brand, has auctioned a remarkable replica of Noah’s Ark on its website. Built by Johan Huibers according to the biblical dimensions, the Ark is 122 meters long, 29 meters wide, and 27 meters high. Since its opening in 2012, millions have visited the floating attraction, which has served as an exhibition space, conference hall, and event venue.

Johan Huibers was inspired to build the Ark after a vivid dream of the Netherlands being engulfed by water. His vision became reality when he constructed the vessel, filling it with life-sized polyester animals, including elephants and giraffes, to bring the biblical story to life. Over the years, the Ark has welcomed visitors from around the world, including school groups, businesses, and event organizers.

Deborah Huibers, Johan’s daughter, hopes the Ark will find a new purpose, whether as a restaurant, hotel, or private residence. Previously moored in Dordrecht, it was later relocated to Krimpen aan den IJssel. After attempts to move it abroad proved unsuccessful, the family decided to auction the Ark. With Troostwijk’s extensive international reach, the auction attracted global interest, highlighting the significance of this extraordinary vessel.
